Our church has a child protection policy, in line with the Diocese of London. Our children's advocate is Mrs Phyllis Manning, who can be contacted by email.

Children are always welcome at St John's.
We hold a Service for All Ages on the first Sunday of the month.

Special activities are organised for children on most other Sundays, when the children help to plan themes and responsibilities for the All Age Services held on the first Sunday of each month. All children, carers, parents and guardians are welcome.

To find out more, or to be involved in running our Junior Church, please contact Benjimin or Victoria Burgher by email.

Toyin Ajidele is the Children and Youth Worker, a post which is shared between our church and the neighbouring church of St Luke's. Toyin works closely with the Rector, her line manager, at the parish office in St John-at-Hackney.

The Scout Section

The Cubs camp in tents, as do the Troop and Explorers. All sections work on a wide range of badges and take part in various events during the year arranged by the Group or the Scout district.

For more information about Scouts and Guides please call The Den 020 0985 1988 evening only;
or contact Jim or Judy Phillips
Telephone: 020 8985 9397 or email.

Why not visit their own website. Naturally they will always support and look forward to new recruits and adult leaders from within the church congregation.

The Scouts and Guides hold their Annual Garden Fete in the Old Rectory Drive separately from the Church Fete. This year it was held on Saturday 9 June.
