OUR LINK WITH ELY CATHEDRAL
For several years our parish has been linked with Ely Cathedral. This has been a joyful experience for us all, with a number of visits organised at both ends - to Hackney, Ely and places in between.
HIGHLIGHTS OF 2008
We greatly enjoyed the visit of Ely Cathedral girls choir, together with members of their clergy and congregation, on Tuesday 24 June, to celebrate not only our Patronal Festival, but also the 50th anniversary of the reconsecration of our church in 1958 after the fire a couple of years earlier.
On Sunday17 August, Fr Rob our Rector was invited to preach at Ely Cathedral's morning service. With the help of a minibus, a small group accompanied him on this pilgrimage.
